Online Conference on “Sustainable Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment”- SAFE 2021

The two-day conference on Sustainable agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment -SAFE 2021 organized as part of JAIVAM sponsored project by Inter university Centre for Organic Farming and Sustainable Agriculture (IUCOFSA) focused to bring together diverse research outputs pertaining to various aspects of sustainable agriculture.

The two-day conference provided an interdisciplinary platform to discuss about the various avenues available for empowerment of farmers through agribusiness. It also provided an interdisciplinary platform to discuss about the advanced technologies and innovations in the field of sustainable organic agriculture and the avenues available for empowerment of farmers through Agribusiness.

The conference encompassed 4 invited talks by eminent scientists from various fields including Prof.(Dr.) Sudheer K.P., Prof. S. Karthikeyan, Prof.(Dr.) P Indira Devi, Prof.(Dr.) Rajmohan K. and around 25 oral presentations of young researchers on vibrant topics, including sustainable agricultural practices, farm tourism, women’s participation in organic agriculture etc. More than 70 members participated in this two-day conference.
